We invite people from all walks of life and in any location to have their idea seriously considered. Finding good ideas is like mining for diamonds. You sift through tons of rubble before discovering a gem. And you might have one we are looking for.

We continue our pledge of creating opportunities for all new writers. In order to encourage young authors and we provide them with an opportunity to take part in Writers Contest.

Winners will receive a Certificate of Achievement & top 1 in each category will be promoted among Bollywood Producers and Film Makers.

We have taken the initiative to make Bollywood more accessible than ever before to more aspiring writers by teaming up with the powers that be in the film community. We are in search of talented would-be authors who can write a strong screenplay for a Hindi Feature Film. Anyone who is dedicated and motivated enough can submit the Screenplay. The screenplay is intended to be made into a Hindi feature film.

Screenplays can be of any genre (Romance, Nonfiction, Fiction, Memoir, Thriller, Mystery, Action, Adventure, Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror, etc.) though each engenders relatively distinct contextual elements related to plotting, character motivations and depiction of time and place.

The judging and the selection criteria include creative imagination and style of dialogues as well as grammar, punctuation, spelling and other aspects. Our judges will pick one winner in each category.

How can you submit an idea?

This is a fast track contest and the entries are to be emailed at hema@bollywoodhunts.com with “Screenplay” as subject.

TERMS & CONDITIONS – WRITERS CONTEST

Entry in this contest constitutes acceptance of these terms & conditions of entry:

1. The writers must agree to abide by all rules, as changed from time to time by the promoters. Promoters reserve their rights to postpone / stop / cancel / terminate make amendments to the existing Terms and Conditions of the Contest contained herein without prior notice or withdraw the Contest without giving prior notice in connection there to and in its sole discretion.
2. Anyone can submit the Screenplay intended to be made into a Hindi feature film.
3. No age limit.
4. Each entry must be an original work.
5. All the entries should be typed and submitted electronically on a standard page size of 8 1/2 by 11-inches.
6. Kindly submit the entry in a Microsoft Word document.
7. Entries must have the name, phone number, and email address of the writer.
8. Your entry should be the Screenplay intended to be made into a Hindi feature film.
9. Entry is open to all.
10. If a prize remains unclaimed 3 months after the date of the draw, the relevant winner's entry will be deemed invalid.
11. There is no limit per entry per person, per competition. No responsibility will be accepted for late, lost, misdirected or ineligible entries.
12. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash. In the event that, for any reason whatsoever, a winner does not take an element of the prize within the timeframes stipulated, then the winner will forfeit that element of the prize and cash will not be awarded in lieu. Where applicable, winners will be asked to sign a Deed of Acknowledgment, Release and Indemnity. Unless stated the prizes do not include any extra charges (i.e. mini-bar, food, in-house movie, telephone usage, flights, or any travel to and from airports).
13. The judge’s decision in relation to any aspect of the competition is final and binding on each person who enters. Chance plays no part in determining winners. No correspondence will be entertained.
14. Winners will be notified by phone and/or mail. Winner/s details will also be posted at www.bollywoodhunts.com
15. All entries become the property of the promoter and their promotional partners. The entries may be entered into a database for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes. Promoter reserves the right to publish photographs of winners.
16. If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned including infection by computer virus, mobile phone failure, line drop-out, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the promoter that corrupts or affects the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the promoter [subject to any written directions given under the Law of court] reserves the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.
17. The promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered, including but not limited to direct or consequential loss, or personal injury suffered or sustained during the course of event trips or in connection with any other prizes. Any change in value of the prize occurring between the publishing date and the date the prize is claimed is not the responsibility of the promoter.
18. Bollywoodhunts.com will publish winning screenplay with writers name on the portal.
